Attended the betrothal function

My cousin was getting married. I and my cousin Melissa did our college together and we were more of a friend rather than a cousin. I was excited about her wedding and promised her that I would be there atleast a day before the betrothal

It so happened that my mother was suffering from a viral fever. So she had to stay back at home .she did seem weak. I offered to stay back with her, but she insisted that I attend the betrothal function. I was eager to go but was not quite happy to leave my mother in this condition.  My mother’s friend agreed to stay at our home and take care of her. Once this was sorted the other problem was to find a driver to drive me down to the betrothal function. I didn’t get one. so, I decided to drive by myself. 

On the way, I was stuck in the road with a car with a flat tire.  I reached out to gurus towing got assistance immediately and I reached my cousins place on time to join her to leave to the hotel where the betrothal was scheduled. I called up my mother and told he about what had happened and assured her that there was nothing to worry.
